Silsila means chain — a series of connected things, one leading to the next, each link dependent on the ones before and after it. The Silsila Shorts are part of that chain: connected to the hoodie in the same set, connected to the terry tradition in RASTAH's material vocabulary, connected to the collection's broader argument about what everyday wear can carry.
Constructed from black terry, the shorts carry a screen-printed RASTAH logo and jacquard patches positioned across the surface — the jacquard fabric's woven pattern in contrast with the flat terry ground beneath it. The silhouette is relaxed, with an elasticated waistband and clean hem finish. Worn with the Silsila Hoodie or alone, the shorts anchor a look that is casual without being careless.
Black terry is one of the most versatile materials in the wardrobe — it absorbs light without flattening, holds shape without stiffness, and makes embellishment legible by providing a consistent backdrop. The jacquard patches bring their woven pattern into the terry surface as a material contrast — two different textile constructions, both starting from the same colour, reading differently because of how they are made.
A silsila only works when every link is strong. These shorts are one link in the chain — complete on their own, stronger in the set.
